Spec Review
Wholesale dry bag specification review
Review the proposed configuration before treating supplier prices as equivalent. This ledger is a buyer preparation tool: its questions guide quotation and sample checks, and do not establish availability, performance or approval.
Request factory quotes
Decision: preserve the same closure and seam revision across quote and sample.
The quotation ledger
| Review line | What to request | How to interpret a difference |
|---|---|---|
| Unit basis | Pieces per capacity and color, MOQ per variant | A mixed assortment may have different minimums from a single-color order. |
| Construction | Shell, lining, coating, seam and roll-top closure | A material substitution changes the comparison even if capacity is unchanged. |
| Packaging | Strap contents, pack ratio, gross weight and carton dimensions | Loose units and retail-packed units require separate totals. |
| Sample | Proposed revision, decoration proof, charge and approval scope | A stock sample may answer construction questions but not custom artwork approval. |
| Timing | Sample stage, production assumption and dispatch estimate | Count timing from the agreed approval gate; confirm it before a purchase decision. |
| Trade terms | Currency, freight, destination charges and exclusions | A factory-gate amount and delivered amount have different scope. |
For an illustrative brief, 20 cartons with 25 pieces in each carton represent 500 pieces. Record the arithmetic and ask the supplier to confirm the carton count; this example is not a MOQ, inventory statement or quoted offer. Compare samples, artwork, testing and transportation as separate cost lines when the supplier provides them.
Three assumptions to remove from the worksheet
Usable volume is unstated
Ask for dimensions in cm or in, capacity in L and the closure position used for measurement. Write a tolerance and approval method into the sample notes rather than accepting a rounded capacity name as a measurement.
Test scope belongs to another item
Check exact-item test evidence for the proposed bag construction, closure routine and exposure conditions. A report for a coated fabric does not confirm seam performance, and a dry bag is not flotation or personal protective equipment.
Preference becomes an assumed rating
Use budget, mid-range or high-end to describe your priorities. A budget-focused option may simplify straps and packaging; a finish-focused option may require more sample review. These choices still need equivalent specifications and supplier confirmation.

Submit the review points that matter
List any mandatory construction, sample evidence and cost scope. Include an optional target budget and destination so open supplier questions can be discussed against the same purchase objective.
